Basky Language - The Cornerstone of the Spanish Identity

Basky's spoken nowadays in a small region that sort of straddles Spain and France called Bask country or Esco Heria. In Spain, it's one of their autonomous communities but I don't know what political affiliation they have in France. They don't even have a department. It has no recognition at all. Which is quite a big shame, but France is well known for not recognizing any language or any identity besides the French one.
