The Effect of Subtraction Q on Additive Bias

In the subtraction Q condition, 61% chose the subtraction. But in the group that did not have a subtraction Q, only 41% did. Less than half of the participants added a current to them to simply remove the one block. They took one look at that and I thought, oh, I don't know what's going on there. It needs three more legs as opposed to thinking it needs one less leg. And that is really telling on how we tend to default to additive transformation.
