China's Economic Recovery and the Role of Stimulus

This chapter explores the perception of underwhelming economic recovery in China and the reasons behind it, including the relatively low direct stimulus provided to households. It also discusses the patterns of recovery in service consumption versus spending on goods and the role of the booming service sector in stimulating lower-income group consumption.
