Are You Trying to Find a Parsimonious Explanation?

i think this all kind of er touches on these main themes of, you know, we have to just take a bit of a closer look at rationality. Or rather at the context in which people are expected to be rational before we can get a good understanding of what is actually going on. Part of it is memory, but it's not all about memory. There's an old idea in cognitive science that still has a lot of currency, which is that the mind is composed of a bunch of modules. And one reason for having such modules, from an evolutionary perspective, could make certain computations more efficient.
