Having a cardnal on tr is like having aminister of government on trial. This is a man in a position of leadership, and it's a fight against government corruption that the catholic church had thus far not been very good at actually prosecuting. The vadigansita state is also an independent state with its own justice system... It would be like im putting a minister, a government minister in active duty, on trial. So it is historic in the sense that it's the very first time that this is happening.
