i come from a 12 step background, and so it's, you know, doing step work. Some of the stuff that i'm hearing here is so consistent with some of the truths that i've learned through the 12 steps. And one of them that came out for a pattern for me was my identification with god as the i associated the authority figures that i experienced as a child with my higher power.
