Ariadne and Dionysus's Marriage
Dionysus appears to Ariadne on the island of Naxos. The pair fell in love right away, but their romance is brief. According to other myths, she did exactly this. Some versions name her, her sister Fidra, and her mother Passafay as having hung themselves.
