The Sunk Cost Fallacy
The sunk cost fallacy is when you tell yourself that you can't quit something because of all that time or money that you already spent. We take a rule we learn growing up to not be wasteful, and we over apply it. With my band, i'd finally had enough negative feedback to quit. I'll tell you the truth, some of the feedback still miss it was insane fun. And a part of me still wishes i'd stuck it out, at least to finish that first record with arista. But the bottom line, i am so glad i quit. For me, it was the right move.
