Let's Not Overvalue Knowledge
Heidegger's definition of phenomenology is letting things appear as they are that doesn't seem to be knowledge but it does seem to be meaningful elusive. Letting things appear asthey are being pretty central to our ethical lives and a lot of ethical engagement takes the form of trying to just see the world as it is after this is also an idea i get from iris mordock who was interested in Heidegger actually so let's not overvalue knowledge my instinct is to say if our conception of knowledge doesn't incorporate the ways in which metaphor and description that aren't in the form of argument constitute forms of knowledge then our conception ofknowledge is too narrow.
