Slavery and the South Sea Company

Part of the treaty of utrecht was the aciento, which granted britain a monopoly on the transport of enslaved africans to spanish territory in the america. Britain assigned this right to the south sea company. The royal african company would be who transported those people across the atlantic ocean and then sold them in spanis colonies. But all this was happening decades before an abolitionist movement coalesced in rittan.
