The Importance of Screens in Cognitive Development
As parents we sort of believe that you know our kids need technology to do well in this society and they're going to learn from it. There's so much evidence showing that this is not the case especially with the last two or three years that cognitive development is affected by excessive screens. I think schools are the first place to go because the policy in schools the federal policy is the more technology the better for over a decade. We really need to shift from these failing home battles you know battling with our kids battling with ourself blaming ourselves blaming our kids to doing things in a public sphere where they're legally but also collectively in our communities.
