Schoolhouse Rock was a short animated program that taught concepts like math, civics and of course grammar. It ran on ABC Saturday mornings during cartoons from 1972 until the early 80s. Schoolhouse Rock began when David McCall of the advertising agency McCaffrey and McCall in New York realized his child could sing all the rock songs but couldn't remember multiplication tables.
