The Synodontizationality of the Second Vatican Council
We are still living very much in the time of the Second Vatican Council. I think until we arrive at some sort of final punctuation mark on that era of the church and have a stable canon, if you like, it's okay to say we're not trying to come up with a total synthesis of something that's still in motion. The theological work that needs to be done right away now is to better articulate what kind of a scent, what kind of submission,. what kind of filial reception we owe to various kinds of words which are uttered from the Pope.
