In your book prior to this one, you focused on the realm of theogens. But in this book you broadened out to these other psychoactive plant-derived chemicals. Why does it feel important to put something like mezcalin or other psychoactive psychedelic substances in context with things like caffeine? Well, it was deliberate. I definitely wanted to have a very everyday legal substance in there so people would realize that when they use the word drug, what are they really talking about?
