The garden of Eden is a dream perpetuated by people who have always only ever lived outside it. The dream of wholeness is a function or an effect of being divided. If we were all united together one human race, there would never have been the need in the first place for a great tour to rise up and proclaim us one. E Pluribus Unum would not exist as a phrase if at the start we were all unum. There'd never be a need for anybody to say I love you. We're together. Till death do us part.
