The S&P 500 Was Down 9.7%, the Ultimate Buy and Hold Strategy Was Down 12.6%
If you look at the all 10, the ultimate buy and hold strategy that we've written about for years, that strategy was down 12.6%. Still an improvement over the S&P 500 on its own. That was because it includes a couple of asset classes that struggled last year. One was emerging markets and two were real estate investment trusts.
