The idea is that it would seem that the Catholic Church is teaching something in conflict with what scripture teaches. So here's the biblical passage. This is from the first letter of the Thessalonians. It is often appealed to in support of this pre tribulation rapture view. And so we shall always be with the Lord, says St Paul.
