"I'm truly frightened about the civil rights violations, the constitutional violations," she says. "We're going to find out what resistance means now in a way that I think never in my adult life have had this kind of challenge" Her husband didn't come forward and say: This is sexism; it's about her being a woman,. No, he didn't. That was just kind of like the opposite of calling a spade. We couldn't talk about gender in America, and that's how bad it is."
