The Importance of Silence

Lacan: Western humans struggle with pauses and long moments of silence for a reason. Next time you have an opportunity to ask a smaller, large group, a question, don't rush in as I just did,. Instead, just sit back and wait. You can ask and answer the question of why I rushed in to tell you this and ending with silence. But definitely it's worth a try.
