The History of Slavery in America
Slavery is not talked about very much in the US, although there's people that are smuggled into the US for sex workers and basically enslaved. The huge scale of slavery is outside the United States and the US does not want to deal with that. A reporter can get killed if they go and try and report on the Thai shrimp slave trade. These are serious entrepreneurs. They view themselves as not being competitive without this enslavement. So yeah, it's forgotten. It's quite unfortunate really because we like to think of ourselves as doing these good things.
