The Effect of Neoliberal Policy Making on the Australian Working Class
The unions really desired a seat at the table. They felt that in the Fraser Liberal and by an Australia when we say Liberal and the Conservative government, this had been a period where the union had no access to or influence. The key effect of neoliberal policy making is to disorganise the working class in Australia. We have to think more deeply about how does this fundamentally reshape the nature of the Australian working class in that period. It's not so much did bad people come and make bad policies and agreed about things. This is a consensual agreement. And that points to us understanding neoliberalism in a different way.
