Nobody's Fool

Nobody's Fool is about a 60 year old laborer working class day worker in a crumbling upstate New York town called North Bath. The journey of this guy, who is one of the great characters in modern literature, from desperate straights into remarkable equanimity by the end makes it my favorite American all the less than years.
