Is Faith Foundational?

Faith is believing revelation because god said it. It's the intellectual side of trusting god. For most of the mediaeval catholic tradition, faith is now rather specific. So when if catholics heard luther say were justified by faith on they would think he meant we're justified just by believing things,. which isn't what luther meant at all.faith is far more an act of the will, an act of trust. Faith is a kind of open commitment faith. Both are biblical. You you can find biblical examples of this use. In both cases, theologians are looking for ways of using language that'll fit with scripture. They've latched on to rather different aspects of scripture
