i blew up my knee ten years ago. i was never a runner before. I thought running was punishment, you know,. But i started having dreams that i was running in the mountains. And as soon as i was able to run, i started doing that. There is so much skill involved with the ability to be on your feet for such a long period of time. It's almost the opposite of speed. You can run certain track races really fast, but that doesn't mean that you can go and do, you know, a hundred mile ultra marathon.
