How to Write for a Broad Audience
In general computer scientists or at least programming languages researcher they tend to fill in more of the gaps but it is also easier to skip something that you can easily understand and to reconstruct something that is just not there. And since we don't commit everything to paper these days there's no cost in doing so if you know it then you're trying to engage in a dialogue with the reader.
