i think this card is also really about hope. Like she's lost her hope, and she needs to believe that it's there. She needs to believe it is possible, even if circumstances have taught me previous that it isn't. And sometimes i get so demoralized, cause i'm just like, there's just no way that we're going to stop this. But if we don't believe that it can be done, then we won't. We shouldn't have to do this alone. There are a lot of people out there who still care.
The 8 of Swords appears when we WANT to do something, but sh*t keeps getting in our way. In this card we can see that the person in the image has forgotten her power, it’s almost like she believes so strongly that she is a prisoner that she no longer even tries to escape. When this card comes up, the rut you’re in usually has more to do with old habits and patterns than it does with current external circumstances - though it might not be an easy fix, there IS a way to free yourself.
