The Grateful Dead and the Hip Hop Scene

The first recordings of mashups or remixes, I mean, there's all kinds of precursors and predecessors going back. There's like an Italian music collective that in 1983 gets a combination or remix of do it again by Sceli Dan and Billy Jean onto the European charts. And then of course, as we move into the, you know, the 60s and 70s of disco, then we move to the 70s and 80s and you were in the South Bronx. In the hip hop scene, all the virtuosity gets, just gets bumped up another notch.
