After dinner, Tom went back to his truck and returned with a rifle. He told the couple, I know of a spot where we can hunt for deer. Kendra recognized and tried to ignore the fact that they were now alone with this man who was armed with a rifle in an isolated part of the woods. But just hearing the sound of the rifle being cocked gave Kendra goosebumps. She wanted to turn back. They said good night to the man and locked themselves in their car and went to sleep.
