Michael Duyvitz was appointed in 2026 as Professor of Law at the Free University of Amsterdam. His entire thinking has a kind of juridical cast, which is appealing to some and alienating to others. But central to his work are concepts of law, norm, order, and so forth. Authority, these central jurisprudential terms ended up being amplified and extended.
