The Problem With Status Quo Bias in the World
Nick Gillespie: I can imagine a left-of-gared egalitarian, a progressive, sort of listening to all of this and saying, this sounds an awful lot like status quo bias. He says the classical liberal is saying that if we move too fast, we'll break things. Gillespie: Thanks to various institutions around the effective altruist movement, there's now more of an opportunity for people to put their money or efforts towards what one might imagine would be extremely important.
