The Fear of Our Own Power

I think it's very difficult because we are kind of educated to believe that only expertise should handle each compartmentalized part of the world. We'd rather just find one thing to become an expert of so that we can hire the experts of other things. But human being is by nature omnivorous or omnipotent. And all we have to do is dive in and do it. It does help to get training. I, myself, took a course at the Shelter Institute in Bath, Maine that really opened my eyes to all the principals of home building and remodeling. That has served me very well in the last 30 years or 25 years after starting there.
