canonical has been talking a lot about how snaps don't have to be slow. But the implication there is that all snaps are horribly tuned, and we're not doing anything about it because this performance still sucks. So i specifically wanted to try the flat pack to see, you know, ha, is this going to be just as bad, or is it fine? And the flat pack basically demonstrates that what canonical has been saying about how snapsDon'tHaveToBeSlow is correct. There's not necessarily anything really intrinsically different about the architecture in a flat pack that made flathub's version of firefox faster. The difference is simply that it was built properly.
