Dietrich Bonhoeffer is one of the modern fathers in the faith he really challenged this idea of cheap grace and tried to resurrect to recover the reality of discipleship as secure attachment. He says discipleship only happens through grace is never removed from grace there is no such thing as a prayer of salvation without a process of becoming saved they are two sides of a coin they're the bow and the string of a violin the lock in a key right there too and yet they're one.
