The relationship between Special Counsel Mueller and Rod Rosenstein is, I'm sure, different than it was between Special Counsel Durham and Attorney General Barr and then Garland. What both of you are describing is a much closer response to an investigation within the Department of Justice. Isn't having this close level of coordination, doesn't that undermine the very purpose of the independence that a Special Counsel is supposed to signify? That may be the right or wrong way to have an investigation within DOJ.
