There are two east to west runways at denver international these are the designations for heading in the west direction. Runway two five is right behind three four, right where they took off from. There's a whole slewh of reasons we can speculate on that. Denver has more north south runway so maybe to keep up with yemia traffic they were processing,. They may have been still flying on the north south runways.
