Jim Morrison had an explicit overlapping of shamanism, Native American spirituality and rock and roll. I actually wrote an article about Jim Morrison called Jim Morrison a failed shaman. So he had the capacity to do much more with the shamanic sensibility that he did, but his excesses, alcohol among them, really did him in.
