Using a Cold Start to Send a Query
The test simply warms up a connection pool ahead of time, then runs select one in parallel. The total result size is approximately 50 kilobytes. It took my SQL native binary protocol with TLS 1.2 around 200 175 milliseconds. While their PSDB on HTTP to a target 50 millisecond only. And again, I really wish they actually spilled that out.
