Black women writers in general, there's always sort of a need to self-diagnose yourself and get into the nitty-greet of your memories. They're kind of sometimes feels like, oh, black writers aren't allowed to write, but they really want to write. Meepha Durkin talked about in his last collection of poetry, he had a series that was called "Flowers" He overheard white women saying how could she talk about flowers? I'm a writer of some writer of whatever I want!
