The Villa Mara Is a Villa on the Edge of Town
The house has two faces, a sort of town face and a kind of garden face. There's the same portico on both those sides, but integrated into the building in a really different way to create these two quite different kinds of appearances. The plan of one works great, and the interior rooms are great. A four columned, very large square hall is much better shape than a square room.
