Language Is a Test Case for Theories of Mind, Brain

In the history of nervo science and psychology, language has been used as a test case for theories of mind, brain over and over again. It was a centre piece in the debate over phrenology, or more generally, whether you could localize a different regions of cortex in terms of different functions. And so it's a pretty big ticket item if you want to understand the human brain and what it is that we do,. ah and how we're different from other life forms.
