When i close my eyes and let my mind wander, i start to see images the green canopy of redwood trees. When she was in college, alice started to realize that some people could imagine more than just words. I think a big part of it was when i started doing yoga. In yoga, there's a lot of like, vigilize yourself in your happy place and stuff like that. But the people in alice's class kept telling her about these visions that they could almost literally see.
Close your eyes and try to imagine an apple. Can you see anything? Aphantasia is the inability to see with your mind’s eye. Since it was discovered, scientists have been asking the question: What is the mind’s eye even for?
