CHAPTER

How Rommel Makes an Italian Army Surrender With a Handkerchief

Rommel never had more than a thousand men under his command and at the key point where he captures the most important strategic site he's actually got less than a hundred men with him. The Italians are so shocked that these German troops have appeared deep behind their lines completely unexpectedly they simply don't know what to do. Rommel effectively goes up to the Italian positions and waves his handkerchief and basically indicates you just need to surrender now don't you. In fact the Italians then do surrender and as it is almost an equivalent of an entire Italian division well over 10,000 soldiers surrenders to Rommel.
