What Happened to the Children in the Solder's Basement?

The local fire departments were painfully low on manpower. By the time they arrived, the firefighters could do little but sift through the ashes that remained in the basement. After four days when the fire department had ceased their investigation, George had the site bulldoze with the intention of converting it to a memorial garden for the lost children. The following day, the local coroner gave a statement which made George's skin crawl.
