There is a general consensus that cover crops are an essential part of a climate adaptation and ultimately mitigation strategy. I think that it is important to increase the amount of cover crops grown and the coverage of that across the country. That said, covered crops are an entry point. They're the thing that many armers will consider adopting as one of the earliest types of conservation practices they would choose to employ.
