Do Not Put the Cart Before the Horse

The currency idea is great, but it comes after the community. Chances are there are already local community exchange networks that exist in your local area. Do not reinvent the wheel here. We do not need to recreate and reimagine and start from scratch. If you have a freedom cell that can infest an already existing community currency or time banking system, work with it. It doesn't have to be freedom cells.org.
