The Golden Plate

The peddler climbed up to the house. When he stepped through the door, he saw that everything inside was made of gold. There was even a golden table set with two golden chairs. My, my, what a lovely house. But this tree is far too tall for me to climb. I'll send you down a ladder. Tell me, what sort of ladder would you prefer? The peddler shrugged.
