VC Investors Are Taking a Longer Term View, Right?
In contrast, mature public companies are reporting earnings every quarter. Once you become a public company, you no longer have control over your investor base anymore. Becoming a public company means your shares are publicly traded. So they can be acquired by any investor. And so that's why you get that tension between wanting to make strategic decisions as say a management team or a board.
