Caroline Costello is the pastry chef of Gage and Tolner in New York. She says she wanted a different college experience when she went to St. Andrews, Scotland. The baked Alaska was never served at Gage or Tolner before COVID. "It's this giant indulgent over-the-top dessert that people can share,"Costello said.
