Carmine Gallo: I came from academia where your courage to write in a very affected way, I might say. As a survey researcher, one of the things that we have to do is make sure that we're writing in a very simple manner so people understand the questions we're asking. So I encourage people to write questions so a sixth grader can understand them because if you confuse them, you're not going to be able to count on the data that you respond to. And also you're forced to simplify the questions that you ask because think about the medium which people are engaging with you. They don't want to read three sentences. How can you distill this into one
