The Life and Times of Jean Baptiste Lulee

Lulee became superintendent of music and court composer to the king on May 16, 1661. He quickly made a name for himself as a dancer and composer because of his fantastic comedic performances. In 1662, just before he turned 30, Lulee married Madeleine Lambert, who's the daughter of composer Michelle Lambert. This wedding was attended by King Louis XIV, thank you Queen Maria Teresa. The years of 1673 to 1687 are considered Lulee's most productive as a composer.
